Payroll is the process of paying employees, which also includes the tracking of hours worked, the calculation of pay, and the distribution of payments via direct deposit, check or other methods. The Clerk's Payroll division also manages and oversees taxes withheld, bonuses, overtime pay, sick time, and vacation pay.
